The Lord Jesus Christ vs The Roman Catholic Church 2

This is part two of the three part study of The Lord Jesus vs The Roman Catholic Church. CLICK HERE to read part 1.

  • God's Priesthood vs. the Priesthood of the Roman Catholic Church

Do you think this man (Cardinal Egan of New York) is holier than you are? Do you think God holds him in higher regard than you? He doesn't. In fact, God will exact His judgment on Egan unless he repent of his sins and be saved by the Lord Jesus. That's besides the point. :)

Why is the RCC set up with a Pope, Bishop, and all sorts of priests in a hierarchy? Why are they adorned like they are something special, set apart from others? Of course, this isn't Biblical. Are you surprised I'm saying this by now? All born again Christians are the priesthood of God, and Jesus Christ is our High Priest. It's that simple. There is no need for this system - it doesn't even teach God's Biblical truth!

Examples of Christ as our high priest:

Hebrews 2:
[16] For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
[17] Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 4:
[14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
[15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 5:
[5] So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
[6] As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
[7] Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
[8] Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
[9] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

[10] Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:
[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
[24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
[25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
[26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the
people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
[28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Hebrews 9:
[11] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

The Body of Christ as a priesthood:

1 Peter 2:
[5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
[6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
[7] Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
[8] And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Remind me why we need a Roman Catholic priesthood again? We have Jesus as the High Priest, and we believers are a royal priesthood, so there is no need for that system. The RCC priesthood doesn't even teach
the truth! They are a bastardized version of the truth! They delete commandments, pervert God's word, teach strange doctrines, and lead people away from the real Jesus!

There is no other mediator to the Father other than Christ Jesus. We do not need a system of priests to connect us to Him, we have The Lord! We all have the right to come before His throne!

  • God the Father vs. The Roman Catholic "Holy Father"

As I'm sure you already know, the Popes of the RCC have the title of "Holy Father" among other things. What does Jesus, the Son of God say about this?

Matthew 23:
[8] But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
[9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
[10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

God Himself tells us not to call anyone on earth our father! How much clearer can this be? Note the Rabbi and Master context here. We can know that Jesus is referring to the word "father" as meaning a godly figure. There is one Rabbi, one Master, one Father. The God of Israel is our one and only Father! Not some man-appointed pope who has zero of the characteristics of Christ! Jesus lived a humble, simple life, and told the Truth given to Him by His Father. The popes exalt themselves and sit on a throne as a god while millions of people worship him! Can't you see the audacity of this? How do you think this makes the Holy One feel?

2 Thessalonians 2:
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

God's Holy Word is calling out the pope system to be the man of sin. One of the pope's titles is "Vicarius Filii Dei," which means Vicar of Christ. What does Vicar mean? SUBSTITUTE! The pope has the unimaginable audacity to call himself a substitute for Christ! If this doesn't reek of antichrist I don't know what else does. Please think about it. Look how this man adorns himself and eats up the glory. Look at how the RCC claims that popes are without sin. The Bible says all have sinned. Who is telling the truth? God or a man?

Maybe you're confused. Maybe you're thinking "but Peter was the first pope and Jesus gave him authority!" Allow me to expose this lie that the RCC has been feeding their millions of followers.

Matthew 16:
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Please pay very close attention, because this verse debunks the entire foundations of Catholicism alone. The RCC was not the first church, and Peter was not a pope.

When Jesus mentions Peter, the original Greek word here is "Petros." Here is the definition:

Πέτρος
Petros
pet'-ros
Apparently a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than G3037); as a name, Petrus, an apostle: - Peter, rock. Compare G2786.

A piece of rock. Extremely clear.

Now, which "rock" is Jesus referring to next? The Greek:

πέτρα
petra
pet'-ra
Feminine of the same as G4074; a (mass of) rock (literally or figuratively): - rock.

Ooh, Jesus is using a different version of the English word "rock" here! He says His church will be built on a mass of rock! It's clear to see that Jesus is using a little play on words here. He calls Peter a little rock, and then states that He (Jesus) will build His church on a massive rock, himself. Let's get other examples of Christ being called the Rock.

Matthew 7:
[24] Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

"Rock" in this passage is petra.

Luke 6:
[48] He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Petra again.

Romans 9:
[33] As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Again, petra. Let's lock this in with absolute certainty, shall we?

1 Corinthians 10:
[4] And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Rock, the foundation we are all built on, that nothing in the world can prevail over. Peter is a small rock, a fragment of the foundation we are all a part of through Christ. Christ is the cornerstone, Peter is like you and me!

With that being said, Peter was not a pope and he had no more authority then every true born again believer of Christ has! The RCC is lying to you.

I could go on further about the atrocities of the popes, but I have much more to write, and I want to maintain your attention!

Part 3 coming soon!

Knowlege of Good and Evil

We all know the story of Adam and Eve from the Genesis book in the Bible. We are familiar with the story of how satan as a serpent beguiled Eve into disobeying God and eating of the forbidden fruit. Here is the story:

"Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said,Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desired of to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:1-6

Before I begin, remember that deception is 99% truth and 1% lie. The enemy works daily to deceive us in any way, shape or form. He even deceives us through false Bibles, false churches, false prophets and so forth. God tells us to try and test these things whether they be of God, or not.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1

Some may teach that satan told a complete and blatant lie to Eve. You may hear from some that the knowledge of good and evil was also lie that satan told Eve while wrapped around the forbidden tree. That wasn't a balant lie, but a deception from satan. He seduced Eve first by telling her that they would be like gods knowing good and evil, then he deceives her by saying "thou shall not surley die!"

Was it an illusion or lie that we know good and evil? First, let's check ourselves.. do we know good and evil? Yes.

Secondly, God confirms it in His Word by acknowledging what had happened,

"And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.." Genesis 3:22

Also,

When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit,

"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons." Genesis 3:7

Their eyes were indeed open, just as the serpent said in verse three listed above.

Satan is the father of lies, and he is a liar, that we do not deny. A flat out lie would be easy to detect, but satan was the most subtle serpent in the garden and he deceived Eve by mixing a lie into the truth. We see that in the world everywhere today with false Bibles, false churches, false prophets and so forth. Beware for the enemy seeks to deceive us all.

Adam and Eve were originally protected by innocence and purity until that was shattered. Now we became cursed by living in a mortal flesh driven by it's own lusts. We see good and evil everyday, and we die. This brought on the law, and the law brought us into grace. Now when we sin, we are not condemned for we are in Christ (Romans 8:1) and we strive to walk in the Spirit.

We as Christians have our sins covered by the blood of Jesus. I am a sinner, and I sin, but I have grace from Christ that whenever I fall, I can rise up again and keep going. I won't stay in iniquity, but I can continue to keep fighting the good fight.

"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:16

And even the great apostle Paul struggled with his own flesh while desiring the things of God. It is a daily battle, we must continue to deprive our flesh and it's lusts, and walk in the Spirit with Christ Jesus. We don't pretend it does not exist, but we acknowledge it, and hate it.

"I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans7:21-25

And it is not love to ignore sin in others. It is love to rebuke our brethren and we need to keep each other walking along the straight and narrow way. If we see a bear trap in our brother's path, we need to let them know. The Bible tells us not to judge (for that is the wrong spirit), but to rebuke them in love and intreat them as brethren. (Proverbs 24:24,25, Proverbs 27:5,6, Amos 5:10, 15, Luke 17:3, 2 Timothy 4:2, Titus 1:13, Titus 2:15)

If we say that we have no sin, then we call God a liar.

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:8-10

Sin is not an illusion or a lie, for this was the whole purpose of the law, of grace, and our need of a Saviour. We will arrive to the point of perfection when Jesus returns. That is the blessed hope we look for. We will become incorruptible when we are freed from this mortal body (what is corruptible cannot inherit incorruption until we are raised incorruptible in 1 Corinthians 15:50).

One day we won't have this flesh anymore. This flesh is a curse from the first Adam, and we shall soon inherit the new body from the second Adam (Jesus) who is the firstfruit of the children of the resurrection. We have to keep turning to God for that and fighting the good fight daily, instead of pretending sin doesn't exist.

If there is no sin, there would be no Saviour.

And I am a sinner that is no longer condemned, for I have grace by the blood of Jesus.

The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth part 4

Here, we will conclude our four part study on the heavenly kingdom that will be established on Earth when Jesus Christ returns. Click to see PART 1, PART 2, and PART 3 of this study!

When Jesus Christ returns at His glorious appearing, those who are dead and alive in Christ will rise to be with Him forever. The wicked will be destroyed, cut off and consumed by Him. Jesus Christ will descend upon the Mount of Olives (the same place where he ascended up to the skies), and His saints will be with Him. Jesus Christ will reign the whole earth from Mount Zion (spelled Sion in the NT). Here are more details about Mount Zion with scriptures:

From Strong's Concordance:

Mount Sion: a hill of Jerusalem.

Mount Zion: a mountain of Jerusalem (same as Sion).

This is where the Lord shall be.

"Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion." Psalm 2:6

"The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy." Psalm 99: 2, 9

"When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory." Psalm 102:16

"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King." Psalm 48:2

"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation." Psalm 132:13
"Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee." Isaiah 12:6

"The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more." Joel 3:16, 17

"Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain." Zechariah 8:3

We shall dwell there with Him.

"For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein." Psalm 69:35, 36

"They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever." Psalm 125:1, 2

What Zion shall be like!

No more war!

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Isaiah 2: 2, 3, 4

Cloud by day,  fire by night, shade from heat, shelter from the rain

"And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain." Isaiah 4:5, 6

There will be stunning light from God that puts the moon and stars to shame!

"Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously." Isaiah 24:23

The Lord shall comfort you there!

"For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee." Isaiah 30:19

"And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." Isaiah 35:10

"For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody." Isaiah 51:3

"Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away." Isaiah 51:11

"But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying." Isaiah 65:25

There shall be healing there!

"Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. "Isaiah 35: 5,6

It will be beautiful!

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim." Joel 3: 18

No more fear!

"But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it." Micah 4:4

"The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid." Zephaniah 3:13

"The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD." Isaiah 65:25

There will be one pure language!

"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent." Zephaniah 3:9

You will be in the company of Angels!

"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels." Hebrews 12:22
The Lord shall rejoice over you!

"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

We will have the Father's name on our foreheads!

"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads." Revelation 14:1

We will have our own houses and vineyards!

"And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands." Isaiah 65:21, 22

He shall speak to us and answer us even before we call!

"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Isaiah 65:24

Conclusion:

After the millennial reign (1,000 years with Jesus on Earth), and the great white throne judgment which takes place after Satan is loosed to deceive the earth one last time AKA Gog and Magog), it will be complete. There will be a new heaven and new earth. There will be a New Jerusalem that descends out of Heaven down to the new earth as a gift for the bridegroom (Jesus) and the bride (us). It will be a brilliant design with streets made of gold, walls made of precious jewels, and the lamb will be the light thereof!

There will be an article about the new heaven/earth/Jerusalem soon!

But when Jesus appears, we shall always be with Him! He shall reign over us! We as His children are eagerly awaiting the return of our King! We are pilgrims on this Earth awaiting our heavenly kingdom for it's arrival! Such glorious things are awaiting us on Zion! We are the daughters of Zion, and how glorious will the Lamb's kingdom be when He comes to rescue us from our enemies!

Let us rejoice in anticipating these things to come!

And feel free to research more about Zion! There are thousands of verses about Zion/Sion, holy hill, holy mountain, city of God, etc!

The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth part 3

In this entry, we will show where Christ's heavenly kingdom will be on this Earth. This will hopefully help us to grasp the understanding of Heaven, and where we will be after we die. We know that those who die in Christ are awaiting His glorious return. When Jesus returns, He comes to claim His bride and to set up His Kingdom on Earth upon what the Bible calls Mount Zion. (Note: In the NT, they spell it Sion because of the Greek/Hebrew original text.)

We want to show that wherever the Lord is, so shall we be. We shall rise to be with Him, and go with Him wherever He goes. The wicked shall be cut off and destroyed. They shall be consumed away by Him at His appearing.

First, let's begin with a very well known passage:

"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

Some of us may read this and think that this passage is telling us that we will always be in the air with the Lord. Instead, what it really says is that we will rise, and from that point on, we will always be with the Lord wherever He goes.

When Jesus Christ returns with His army of Angels, the dead and the living that belong to Him shall rise to meet Him in the air. Those who are left behind on Earth will be destroyed and cut off. There are many verses speaking of this, and here are just a few to list as examples:

"For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming." Psalm 37: 9-13

"For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever" Psalm 37:28, 29

"Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it"  Psalm 37:34

The wicked shall be cut off and destroyed, and the righteous shall inherit the land. We shall have peace, and Jesus will rule the Earth the way it always should have been. We will all see the wicked perish and they will be gone.

The wicked will be consumed and destroyed by the Lord at His coming,

"By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed" Job 4:9

"Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD." Psalm 104:35

"And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed." Isaiah 1:28

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts." Malachi 4:1, 3

"Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land." Zephaniah1:18

"Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy" Zephaniah 3:8

And when Jesus comes down, His feet will touch the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4) and we shall be with Him when Jesus descends to Earth and claims His Kingdom on Mount Zion:

"And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee" Zechariah 14:5

"And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words." Deuteronomy 33:2, 3

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints" Jude 1:14

More on what we will see!

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day." 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10

"And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and His name one." Zechariah 14:9
More coming soon!

The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth part 2

Let us continue our studies about heaven. If you haven't read part one to this study, please click HERE.

This is a big topic, and could trigger an automatic response of rejection from those who haven't heard this before. Some might feel upset, offended or defensive, but please stay open to God. We want to find truth, and let us do it together as brethren in Christ. If you find scriptures showing otherwise, then please post them in our comments section under this blog entry.

We at a Voice in the Wilderness use the King James Bible. We also check the Hebrew/Greek original language behind each scripture that we find for more accuracy. If you are interested in doing a more in depth study of the Word, then an easy way is to download E-Sword. It is a small file and free of charge. It helps us search for verses instantly and it will also provide the original greek and hebrew word and definition for every word in the KJV.

There are three Greek and Hebrew definitions of one English word, "Heaven."

*The first definition is the physical heaven: "Shameh" the realm of the sky.

Here are some examples of where Shameh is used for the word Heaven

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

"And God called the firmament Heaven.." Genesis 1:8

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days, and for years." Genesis 1:14

"... and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." Genesis 1:20

"... I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven.." Exodus 32:13

*The second definition of heaven is: "ouranos", the abode of angels and the dwelling place of God.

Here are some examples of where ouranos is used as Heaven listed below.

"And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:17

"Let your light shine so before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

"In that hour Jesus rejoiced in Spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth.." Luke 10:21

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven.." John 6:51

"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." Revelation 21:10

*The third definition of Heaven is: "epouranios," which is the spiritual Jerusalem, of the resurrection and glorified, the Kingdom of Christ in it's future manifestation.

Here are some examples of epouranios used as the word Heaven listed below.

"If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?" John 3:12

"And as we have bourne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." 1 Corinthians 15:49

"But ye are come unto Mount Sion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels." Hebrews 12:22

"And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever." 2 Timothy 4:18

In this entry, we hope to establish with you that for one word of Heaven are three different meanings. One is a physical heaven where the sun, the stars and the sky is. One is the realm of God, where he currently resides with His angels. The last one is the one we await for: the future heavenly kingdom of Jesus. We are waiting for epouranios, which will occur on Mount Zion (Sion) when Jesus returns to claim His throne and shall rule the earth.

There will be a post coming soon about Mount Zion/Sion where Christ's kingdom will be located on earth.
